Another step in the hand caning process: weaving in the diagonals. It’s much more difficult with the blind French style. Here you can see one full set of diagonals completed and the second set has just begun. Unique to this group of chairs (4 in total) they all feature a pattern woven into the back. Can you see it? Every 5th strand of the diagonals is dyed a dark brown.
